Monthly News Letter

We have finally come to the end of our cattery alterations, so we may get back to

the regular web site updates.

Although our alterations have taken up a lot of our time, we have still re-homed 19 cats in the

perid 1st March to 30th April 2008

Thanks to Kathryn Holmes who continues to help us out, by caring for new mothers and their kittens,

up to the age of 6 weeks when they are returned into our care.

Through the work MPCR do, we have made some very good friends, both within animal welfare

and with people who have adopted cats and kittens from us.

We have recently worked with Rotherham Rescue Rangers

(see Bella's Story at the bottom of this page) and would like to say it has been

a pleasure to be associated  with Faye and Tammy, who do some excellent work.

Please visit their web site at  www.rotherhamrescuerangers.co.uk/

April 2008 Monthly Report To RAW for the movement of

cats & kittens in & out of MPCR

Report from 25th March to 25th April

We started the month with the 1 adult cat and 1 mother who has just given birth to 3 kitten

We also had a mother and 3 kittens in the care of Kathryn Holmes. At 6 weeks old these were returned to our care.

We brought in a further 9 cats, 3 of whom were pregnant mothers, and have subsequently given birth to a total of 10 kittens between them.

We were contacted by Rotherham Rescue Rangers who had several newborn kittens whose mother had died, to see if we had any new mothers who could adopt other kittens. We took 3, 1day old kittens from them and can report they are thriving with Bella and her own 3 kittens. At 9 weeks the adopted kittens will be re-homed as RAW kittens.

Only 4 adult cats have been re-homed this month

Currently in our care we have 3 adult cats available for re-homing. 1 mother, who has 4 kittens. 1 mother, who has 6 kittens

Since returning from her holiday, we also have another mother and 3 kittens in the care of Kathryn Holmes

Bella's Story

Bella is a wonderful cat and mother. Bella came to us pregnant and gave birth to 3 beautiful tabby kittens. We  then had an emergency call from Rotherham Rescue Rangers, asking if we had any mothers that had recently given birth, as they had several new born kittens without mothers. This is why Bella is so special, she became adoptive mum to 3 other kittens, the black and 2 white & grey in the picture. We are pleased to report mum and all 6 kittens are thriving
