MPCR and our relationship with Royston Animal Welfare

 

Maureen's Penistone Cat Rescue is a totally voluntary organisation.

 

We are not a charity, but we work under the umbrella of

 ROYSTON ANIMAL WELFARE

who are a registered charity No.1064870.

From starting out, it has been our intention to promote the excellent work  

Royston Animal Welfare (RAW) are committed to in the Penistone and surrounding

area,  which we feel has successfully been achieved.

RAW rescue and re-home cats,dogs and all types of small animals,

in  South & West Yorkshire, operating from the Royston area of Barnsley SY.

Whilst in the care of RAW, the animals are kept in commercial catteries / kennels

or in foster homes, which are provided by hard working volunteers.

Maureen is one of RAW's foster carers / re-homers. She works very hard and is

devoted to the  welfare of the cats in her charge, providing them with full 24 hour care.

Royston Animal Welfare, meet all the cost, relating to the welfare of the cats in

Maureen's  care including food, all veterinary procedures and micro- chipping.

Royston Animal Welfare totally relies on donations. fundraising events

and the adoption fees to meet their considerable costs

Before being re-homed all our cats are given first & second vaccinations (incl. FeLV),

they are neutered and micro-chipped, with all the relevant vaccination certificates

&registration documentation issued.

All adopted cats 8 years and under come with 4 free weeks

PetPlan veterinary insurance.

Anyone wishing to adopt a cat, will have to agree to  undergo a home check,

either by Maureen or another representative of RAW

On completion of the adoption a fee is payable

All veterinary care is provided by CHURCHFIELD VETERINARY CENTRE

in Barnsley, Penistone, Skelmanthorpe & Hemsworth.
